The cult event dedicated to Frankfurt’s iconic dish is heading into the next round! Frankfurt’s biggest culinary competition, the Grüne Soße Festival, invites you once again from May 2nd to 9th, 2026, for an incredible blend of Grüne Soße, culture, and pure entertainment!

With the motto, “Who makes the best Grüne Soße?” 650 enthusiastic guests each night get to sample seven distinct Grüne Soße variations prepared by different local restaurateurs. At the end of the evening, the voting cards come out, and you, the audience, crown the evening’s winner! Over the course of the festival week, a total of 49 chefs from Frankfurt and the surrounding Rhine-Main region will showcase their mastery in preparing this legendary sauce. The grand finale on May 9th will reveal the overall winning sauce!
